About Transition Nottingham

Take a look at our forum to see what we are up to:

Transition Nottingham was established in the summer of 2007 to provide a grassroots response to the problems of peak oil and climate change. We’ve been busy doing the tedious organisational stuff that every organisation needs to do, but hopefully you’ll hear a lot more about us this year and we hope that you’ll get involved in turning Nottingham into a city that is less reliant on fossil fuel energy and is a better place for all of us to live in.

Obviously, Nottingham is a massive place and so all the real action will be happening on a local level. The role of ‘Transition Nottingham’ is to raise awareness of the Transition process, support the establishment of these local groups and help them to network with each other.

This blog is intended as a store of information and ideas that anyone can contibute to.  The problems we face are far reaching and there are no easy solutions.  Use this space to discuss what you know and suggest ideas. There is a space for each of the local groups to coordinate meetings and report back about what they’re up to.
